That's what the headline said in the news today.
Not his name. Not his bands name. Not the name of the song.
He is now and forever known as the man who shouted 'tequila' in a hit song.
I never shouted tequila.
Will my obit read:
'Man who never shouted tequila died.'
TEQUILA!!
Not now it won't.
How about the man who vomited Tequila?
ReplyDeleteOr would that open the flood gates for a mass run of confusion?
[which man who vomited Tequila's funeral are we going to again tonight?]
That would be Lamont's funeral.

He Shouted TEQUILA!
He doesn't actually shout it, he just says it - his voice sounds a little like Wolfman Jack...

Don't bury me... I'm not dead yet!

At least HIS obit doesn't say "Never Went to Fenway Park."
ReplyDeleteShe'll end up yelling 'TEQUILA!' at Fenway Park.
ReplyDeleteFolks in the stands will feel kinda uncomfortable when she does so.
Maybe I could make a sign instead.
ReplyDeleteIt' ll be appropriate, if she yells "Tequila! Yankees Suck!"
ReplyDeleteOr alternately, "Yankees Suck Tequila!"
Yeah, well... Red Sox fans lick salt!
ReplyDeleteI know, it's lame, but I'm out of practice. We clinched so early this year that there just hasn't been any need to shout for a while.
Unless I miss my guess, "Tequila" is the only song to reach the top 10 with only one word in its lyrics. An absolutely useless piece of trivia, which is the way trivia ought to be.

Oh My Gawd...Pee Wee Herman is DEAD!!!!
ReplyDeleteDo they sell Tequila at Fenway Park? And how do I get there, by the way?
ReplyDeleteOh....
ReplyDeleteAs an aside...We just hired a guy who's a teacher by day and a Fenway Park Groundskeeper by night.
Anyone...Motheragawd...sniff the odor of free tickets here?
Folks at MY workplace love me, by the way. Even the new ones.

Rock 'n' Roll Part Two
On further review...
ReplyDeleteOur neighbor to the north is correct. "RNRP2" went to # 7 on the U.S. charts, and #2 on the U.K. charts.
"Tequila," however, was the only song with just one word in the lyric to hit #1. That's my (amended) story and I'm stickin' to it.

Huh?
ReplyDeleteTEQUILA!!!
ReplyDelete(Anyone miss me?)
