Screw In My Tire

I learned a few years ago on these blogs (from the long gone Momenger) that when something bad happens all you can really do about it is make up a country western song about it.

Here I am stealing that idea.

The name of the song is SCREW IN MY TIRE and it's sung in a twangy voice:

'There is a screw in my tire and I'm tired of screwin'.

I'm tired of being screwed.

There is a screw in my tire and boy am I screwed.

It's past 11:00 and I'm tired...a screw in my tire and I'm screwed.

Tired of being screwed...screwed and I'm tired and a screw in my tire and like it or not I'm screwed.

It's late on the road and my tire is screwed and I'm tired and tired and my tire has a screw in it.

So what'll I do with a screw in my tire especially when I'm so tired of being screwed?

I'm tired, I'm tired, I'm tired of being screwed.

How did this screw find it's way in my tire and how did I find myself so tired of being screwed?

I'm tired and screwed with a screw in my tire...what'll I do with that screw in my tire?

I'm tired of life and tired of screws.

In my tire.

I'm screwed and so is my tire.

There is a screw in my tire.

I'm screwed.

And I'm tired.'

And for those of you that were worried I had the screw taken out the next morning for $15.00.

  1. Hurray for Momenger and the country western song strategy! Boo to your screw.

(Psst: You were screwed! Same guy removed a screw from my tire for $10.50.)

  2. I wonder if it was the same screw?

    It's possible, unlikely, but possible.

    Freaky, huh?

  4. Hmm......I had a nail taken out of my tire last Friday. I wonder if it then got infected by a virus, mutated into a screw and attacked your tire.

Could this be a case of....SWINE SCREW FLU???

::cue ominious music and sound of car engines revving...::

  5. Dear Lois,

How much did it cost to have nail removed?

Did they nail you or screw you?

  6. Y'know, I'm not sure what it cost, because I had them do an oil change at the same time. And I was in such a rush when I picked up the car I barely even looked at the bill (yeah, I know. I'm the kinda dumb broad mechanics live for).
