10/11

Does anybody else find it odd that a plane just crashed into a building in NYC on the three year, one month anniversary of the Second Anniversary of 9/11? .

  2. I don't make the news.

    I just report it.

  3. THIS JUST IN:

I'm not making this up....it's just been reported that a NEW YORK YANKEE owned the plane that crashed into said building.

I'll take a handbasket, please. Do you have one in red?

    Thanks,

  8. I just read that Corey Lidle told reporters that he was getting his pilot's license. Urgh. Why does that immediately say to me that he was flying the plane, yet clearly not ready to pass the test? Urgh.

I have no comment at the moment.

  10. And by the way Nooprah,

You can't just make news up!
You'll never get Katie Couric's job this way.

  11. According to radio show host Sean Hannity, in 1998 Bill Clinton had the opportunity to revoke Cory Lidle's pilot's license -- but chose not to!

I'll take a pink handbasket please. Thank you.

  14. I admitted to my students that I had never been to Fenway Park.

Some were astonished, but many said "Neither have I."

So I proudly shared this story with the Blonde in the Limo, and she quickly responded by saying "Well, you've got a couple of years on them."

    Busted!

" Corey Lidle of the Yankees has just been reported to have died in said crash."

Maybe he thought the window was a strike zone.

    Basket please?

  16. and the super freaky part of the plane crash was that if you take the date 10/11/06 and flip it upsidedown it looks like 9/11/01.

    Kinda.

As a confirmed Yankees AND Mets fan, I just wanna say...

What's Corey Lidle's secret to pitching success?

Vary pitch speed and keep changing planes.

Naw, it's tragic, and there's nothing funny about it.

Hey, didja ever think that if A-Rod had been next to Lidle, he wouldn't have hit a thing -- just like in the playoffs?

No, no, it's too soon. Too fresh.

Hey, how many times can 30 go into 524? (Ya kinda gotta know that the building he hit was 524 East 72nd Street.)

Only once, but it goes in REALLY FAST!

No, hey, c'mon, give people a chance to grieve...

Hey, wasn't Lidle the guy who said Joe Torre lost control of the Yankees? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

P.S. Handbaskets are against my religion. We have Jewish mothers instead.
